Our primary responsibility was to rig and animate the CG character Tyger, focusing on the transformation sequence from Tyson Yoshi to his animated counterpart. This involved creating a rig that allowed for expressive movements and realistic wing dynamics. We worked closely with the production team to ensure that the animation integrated smoothly with the live-action footage, maintaining consistency in perspective and motion.
A significant challenge in this project was the rigging and animation of Tyger’s large, feathered wings. Achieving natural and dynamic wing movements required meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of anatomy and physics. The transformation sequence, where Tyger draws his sword amidst added visual effects, stands out as a highlight of the video. Despite the complexities involved, we are incredibly proud of the final result, which showcases the character’s strength and the seamless integration of CG elements.
